The
Space Coast

Lifestyle. It's not just the 72 miles of gorgeous beaches, the Intracoastal Waterway, or the balmy average temperature of 73 that draws residents to Brevard County, it's the lifestyle that we have to offer.

There are exciting business opportunities, clean, prosperous work environments, and plenty of places to play! Our lives are peppered with the incomparable excitement of frequent shuttle and rocket launches from Kennedy Space Center and Canaveral Air Force Station. Patrick Air Force Base, centrally located, provides convenient services for both active and retired military families.

The Space Coast is home to Brevard Zoo and Kennedy Space Center Visitors Center. The Central Florida attractions, such as Walt Disney World, Sea World, and Universal Studios are only one hour to the West. World-famous Daytona Beach and historic St. Augustine lie 1-2 hours to the North. Port Canaveral is the third largest cruise-passenger port in the country, from which luxury cruises depart for New York, the Caribbean, and Europe. Other cruise ships make daily trips and excursions to the Bahamas.

Space Coast Stadium, spring training facility of the Florida Marlins, and home to the Brevard County Manatees, brings big league baseball to our back door.

Marinas and waterside restaurants dot the Indian River shoreline. The river provides enjoyment of many different water sports, including boating, fishing, sailing, water-skiing, and wind-surfing.

Rare wildlife, such as the manatee, sea turtle, brown pelican, and sandhill crane are frequently sited in Brevard County.

Your new lifestyle will include comfort, convenience, and quality. We are home to Brevard Art Center and Museum, and have a symphony orchestra, and several theater groups. Maxwell King Center for the Performing Arts frequently brings a range of entertainment to Brevard County.

Come, join us in the relaxing and rewarding lifestyle Florida's Space Coast is famous for!

THE BEACHES

Cape Canaveral and Cocoa Beach are the two northernmost beachfront communities in the county. Cocoa Beach is one of Florida's best known resort cities and home to world famous Ron Jon's Surf Shop.

The communities of Satellite Beach, Indian Harbour Beach, and Indialantic offer diverse housing, with something for everyone. There are elegant riverfront homes, oceanfront condominiums, upscale gated communities, as well as tropically landscaped homes in affordable single-family neighborhoods.

Melbourne Beach, founded in 1883, is Brevard's oldest seaside community. Housing ranges from traditional Florida vintage homes to luxurious riverfront and oceanfront retreats.

The South Beaches is the area of approximately 14 miles between Melbourne Beach and the Sebastian Inlet. They encompass several communities of varying style. Shopping is now available in this once remote part of the county. Sebastian Inlet State Park offers camping facilities, fine surfing, and great fishing. The South Beaches offer a truly unique lifestyle.

MELBOURNE

Melbourne, the second largest city in Brevard, offers residents a casual, relaxed lifestyle with all the amenities of a big city. Melbourne is home to Brevard's only International Airport, which provides convenient access to anywhere in the world. Melbourne housing is also diverse. New and existing homes. Plus condominiums and apartments cater to both the budget minded and extravagant buyer. Growing families and retirees alike appreciate the well-planned, immaculate neighborhoods with nearby schools, shopping, parks, and golf courses.  Here is a community calendar for Melbourne, FL just click www.melbourneflorida.org.

SUNTREE/VIERA

These communities encompass three top golf courses, countless parks and recreational areas, as well as easy access to both rivers and the ocean. Brevard Community College and Space Coast Stadium are only minutes away.

PALM BAY

Located in the southern end of the county, Palm Bay's 65 square miles make it the largest city in all of Brevard. Residential developments in Palm Bay offer new and "nearly new" homes with lots of varying sizes. Large, acre plus country-style homes and retirement communities are available, in addition to low maintenance, attractive condominiums. Beautiful, tropical landscapes are a highlight in Palm Bay, which is sheltered from the ocean's salty winds and north Brevard's cooler temperatures.
